When it comes to school, learning can be a collaborative effort between students, teachers, and parents/guardians. We know that student success can be achieved when each party is actively involved, and community partnerships are made. One way that VISD is involving parents in their child’s elementary school education is with curriculum newsletters.
During the 2022-23 school year, the VISD elementary curriculum team will continue to publish curriculum newsletters for each reporting period.
The newsletters will be published every 9 weeks. Principals will send the newsletters to parents via EduLink or in student take-home folders.
The newsletters provide parents with an overview of the content taught in each core content area during the designated reporting period. Newsletters are available in English and Spanish and are distributed to parents of each grade level.
