It is with great pleasure that we announce Hopkins Elementary, Vickers Elementary, and STEM Middle School have been selected to participate in the fourth and final cohort of the 2-year Campus Leadership Program (CLP) at Holdsworth. This prestigious program offers exceptional leadership development and executive coaching to campus leaders, ensuring they are equipped with the skills necessary to foster positive change within their educational communities.
In a creative and heartwarming gesture, members of the VISD Curriculum, Instruction, and Accountability department visited each selected campus, delivering fruit baskets to inform the campus leaders of their inclusion in the program. The excitement was palpable as each campus realized the incredible opportunity ahead for their leadership teams.
The Campus Leadership Program, initiated by The Holdsworth Center, provides principals and their leadership teams with comprehensive training aimed at personal growth, empowering others, and driving meaningful change within their schools. Over two years, participants will collaborate with 32 other selected schools statewide to define their school's vision, identify key challenges, and establish actionable goals to address these challenges.
Hopkins Elementary, Vickers Elementary, and STEM Middle School join an esteemed group of schools already participating in this transformative program. As the first cohort prepares to graduate this summer, the second and third cohorts are poised to enter the second year of their journey.
The Campus Leadership Program is made possible through a strategic partnership between The Holdsworth Center and VISD, with a total investment of $6 million over five years. This partnership underscores VISD's dedication to ensuring every school is led by an excellent principal, thus promoting a culture of leadership and innovation throughout the district.
